LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

Once again I send you my greetings and I hope that all of you are enjoying your summer activities. Jane and I are going to be attending a jazz festival in Colorado in July and then we are off to New England at the beginning September.

Most important of all, I would like to thank all of you for the great year which the Wickenburg Chamber Orchestra has enjoyed. We were so fortunate have Handel’s “Messiah” in December and, of course, the unforgettable “All in the Family” concert in March, followed by the beautiful reception at the home of Art Ditto and Gail MacCallum. I was personally very pleased to see such a grand turnout for our appreciation dinner for the WCO donors in April. It was wonderful to greet old friends and to meet new ones. Without contributors, we would not be able to do the work we do and we are most thankful for all your support.

We are already planning for next year. We will host the “Messiah” on December 11 and the spring concert on March 27.

There are many exciting things to come from the WCO as we continue to bring you great music and offer the younger generation a lifetime of good music.

Your strong support and that of the Phoenix Symphony give me the enthusiasm to carry on.

My best wishes to you for a great summer and I look forward to seeing each of you in the fall.
