From the President

A message from Craig Trueblood President, Board of Directors

Who would have ever imagined (ten years ago) that the WCO would be in the marvelous position we now find ourselves? Not only is the acquisition of the Little Red Schoolhouse a blessing for the WCO as a home where we can now plan and deliver our programs, but we also envision this as a venue for a whole myriad of events to give added pleasure to this wonderful town we call Wickenburg. The party we had there at Christmas, following the Light Parade, was very well received, and I hope it will become an annual event. Of course with the added responsibility of the LRS comes an added commitment for maintenance, planning, and fund raising. We feel that we are up to the task, and it is our hope that every member of the community will join us in perpetuating our dreams. Come and visit us and see what we are doing. We have just begun - but as I stated at the outset, look where we have come in ten years. We can now dream of what the next ten years will bring. In the words of Thomas Henry Huxley, "The rung of a ladder was never meant to rest upon, but only to hold one's foot long enough to enable them to put the other somewhat higher." Let's see how high we can go!!!
