Volunteer Opportunities

The WCO has many exciting and creative opportunities for volunteers to contribute the time and talents to the organization. Among the positions available are:

* Historians to continue researching, documenting, and creating displays of the history of the Schoolhouse and former students.
Part time - as available
* Muscians - to catalog our vast collection of music.
* Maintenance Support
Part time, as needed for special needs to keep the Schoolhouse in good working order
*As needed support for special events.

We also welcome community service groups and professional organizations to adopt the Schoolhouse or one of our music programs to support with a special project. Contact us with your ideas.



Sponsor one year of music lessons for one student: $500

Sponsor one summer camp scholarship: $750

Sponsor one college scholarship: $1,000

Donate gently used  or new string instruments.

Donate to our general operating fund to help us keep the music playing.

Donate $1,000 or more to keep the school lights and history burning brightly in the Schoolhouse.

Donate $500 to preserve the school room charm and add new artifacts.

Donate $250 to keep the school bell ringing and promotional materials available to share with our guests.

Donate original schoolroom artifacts to enhance the experience of our guests.

Donate your time as a volunteer to greet guests and tell the story of the Garcia Little Red School House.

Share your story or pictures about attending school at the Garcia Little Red School House, or the story and pictures of someone you know who went to school here.
